I am planning to run for Airtel half marathon . I am not a runner per se n the max I have run is for 7 km in Airtel great Delhi run about 3 yrs back . It's pretty challenging but I would like to go for 21 km this time . Has anyone been in a similar situation n ran for half marathon earlier . would be very encouraging if you could share how to planned etc

The best way to train I would recommend is to follow the training schedule which is available on ADHM site. It is a 90 day plan and you will be just in time to start if you do it straight away. I did my last half marathon in 2009 and followed (tried my best) the schedule and it was very helpful.

Please do keep in mind though that as much as you are pushing yourself to run longer, harder and faster, you should do it as long as you are enjoying it. Injuries are pretty common and very depressing as run injuries takes longer to heal....

All the best...
