Event Description

Delhi Runners in association with the Netball Development Trust present the DR50.

Date: Saturday, March 26th, 2011
Venue: Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, Delhi

The event registrations are open, entry fees to the event are Rs 400/- only, and which will include a nice finishers medal, participation certificate, arrangement of water, electrolytes, and refreshments during the run and post run for all participants. This is a community event from Delhi Runners, and all the money collected from registrations will totally go towards the organization of the event, and strictly not for profit.

Route Details and Weather Forecast:

Nehru Park is a great running place, a nice 2.8KM long mud track inside the periphery of the park, green surroundings. The run would be tough no doubt, with 18 laps of this route required to be done for 50K, which has some minor elevation changes as well. Weather is expected to be warm towards the end, with estimated 19 deg C min and 35 deg C high on the day as per weather.com. The route has three well maintained toilets along the way. Race Day

5:00 AM - Reporting at venue, BIB number distribution

(in case of baggage, deposit it with volunteers clearly marking your name, bib# and phone#)

5:30 AM - Run Flagoff. Run start on exact time.

(slightly dark at start, running at easy pace is possible without a torch, carry one if this concerns you)

Qualified Doctor/Ambulance will be available on venue for attending to runners.

How to reach the Venue:

Please use the below guide map to reach the venue. If you are approaching Nehru Park via AIIMS crossing, go straight and take right turn from under the flyover at Bhikaji Cama place [board on top says Chanayapuri] onto Africa Avenue. Take a left to Satya Marg and right to Niti Marg, and park your vehicle on preferably the second car parking on Niti Marg. Green arrow in the below map represents the run starting point. Time Limit: No time limit for the run. We will be there till the last runner intending to finish, finishes!

Comment by Delhi Runners on March 18, 2011 at 1:19pm: @Ankur: If you have a drop bag, please mark it clearly with your BIB# and name/phone#, and leave it with the volunteers. We will keep it available for you at our central aid station. If you have a bag you want deposited, please do the same again (BIB#, Name, Phone#) and it will be handed over to you at the finish.
