In less than a week, Delhi will once again play host to the world's most prestigious half marathon, the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, an event that has me hooked ever since 2005.

This year too, more than 30,000 participants have registered for this wonderful event that advocates health and fitness through running, and communal harmony, since it manages to get together so many people from different backgrounds and walks of life on to a common platform. It also encourages participants to recognize and experience the joy of giving by raising money for charity.

The half marathon will be flagged off from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on November 27.

Eight electrifying bands selected from a total of 27 participating bands will perform at the hotspots during the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon. The bands are Soul'd Out, The Aphids, Colossal Figures, Arjun, Doppler Effect, Lafz-e-Dilli, Project Hustle and Solfege.
